A winning marketing lesson
JupiterJasper's recent blog competition was a really worthwhile experiment. I'll be blogging on a few of the insights I've gained later in the week. For now, the most important thing is to announce the winner...
There was a clear winner. The winning blog post revealed a truth about marketing learnt by a small business, and in fact, this particular lesson is a key aspect of today's practice of marketing. It is so easy to be caught up into the ideas about what is fashionable or should be done, or even what everyone else is doing to market their business, but in reality, everything really should be all about the customer.
There were some fabulous entries, with valuable marketing lessons (you should read them!). In true JupiterJasper style, we chose the winner for making resounding use of the opportunity to market themselves, through earning bonus points with the number of independent RT's on Twitter, and comments on the blog post that added to the discussion.
The winner is Sarah Arrow of Arrow Same day couriers.
Congratulations! We'll make the arrangements for you to receive your copy of UnMarketing: Stop Marketing. Start Engaging. by Scott Stratten (* see below), an ergonomic laptop stand, a moleskin notebook for marketing ideas and of course an hour of JupiterJasper's on-demand marketing.
We'd also like to commend our runner up, Joanne Dewberry, for her superb post on seizing every opportunity to market your business.
Thank you, we hope you'll enjoy your prizes. Thank you once again to all of our entrants.
Bronwyn Durand writes Marketing Ideaology for JupiterJasper, the on-demand marketer service for small businesses.
