Date: 12 August 2017, 10:00 - 16:30
Level: For any artist or maker with work that they want to sell online using the marketplace platform Etsy. A guided approach to ensure you take action and get your work online, with tips and inspiration to help you there.
Do any of these ring true for you? Then this course is ideal:
- I'd like to sell my work online, but I'm not ready to build or pay for a website
- I keep meaning to set up an Etsy page, but other things keep taking priority
- The work and preparation it will take to get this to happen has felt a little overwhelming
- I have some concerns about selling my art online, but Etsy seems a less risky way to try it
What you'll learn
This one day take-action course intends for you to have your Etsy page up and ready to go by the end of the day. Getting started is critical, but not the end of the story, so there's also guidance on next steps and looking after your page.
During the day, we'll cover
- How Etsy works, and what you need to use it effectively
- How other artists are using Etsy to market themselves and sell their work
- Setting up your Etsy page
- A framework for building and maintaining a successful page after the course
What to bring
- Note: there will be a suggested preparation list for this class to aid set up of accepting payments and identity verification sent to students, as well as things to think about in advance.

- Pen and paper for your own notes.
